Silver Grand Prix dash

The silver faced dash bezels were in 79 and 80 Grand Ams and Grand Prix. If the Grand Am in the scrap yard had siver gauges, it
is a 1978 and would have the wood grain bezel.

I'm not sure what year they went to wood grain with silver around the bottom area. It was after 80 for sure.

Hi Kent,
If anyone would know about these things, you certainly would. I figured you'd chime in if you saw this thread.

Thanks for your input and information.

Yes, thank's for that info, it's what I was looking for. And are you the Grandamman from Classical Pontiac? It's a small world.

You're welcome. I don't think that would be me. I've posted "for sale" 1x but that's it.
Probablly one of the 1st gen guys.

So 79' - 80' for sure but what about other years, maybe on a special model? Like the bubble back earo coupe? Or is that it?

Nope, that's it. The 86 2+2 GP had a wood grain dash.

Thank's again, now I know what I'm looking for.

As far as I know the 78 to 80 GP SJ had the siver dash. The base and LJ had the woodgrain.

According to my literature the silver faced dash was on 1979-80 Grand Am and Grand Prix SJ models only. My 1980 GP SJ had the silver dash and I rememeber how hard it was to located another one.
