Smoke out of the valve cover

you should check the pcv....that's what it does for a living.....
positive crankcase ventilation....jesse
 
right now i do have an filtered vent on each valve cover. i'll have it cycle to the carb tomaro. also where do you guys port your vacuum advance? like which port?
 
Don't forget that a little smoke is kinda normal. A lot is a different story though.
 
i am only having a little smoke. i'll see how it looks when i vent it back into the carb, however on the pass side head is where i am getting the LOT of smoke. that's what i'll look at tomorrow.

If you are going to limp it along then start running some heavy weight oil ( like Diesel Oil ) to keep the pressure up.
 
i actually hooked up a pcv valve and connected it to the intake and BAM! no more smoke at all. i would still really like to do a ring and bearing rebuild.
