dipstick tube looked to be fine.it smokes pretty bad. its not really road worthy wet. im trying to pick away at it as i dont get alot of time to work on it. im gunna be chaning out steering colums, bucket seats etc. Kinda off topic but what is the talk about having to run some kind of switch for the stall converter?

some stall convertors were lockable... meaning, at cruising speed they would lock 1 to 1 with engine, and reduce slip, thus giving you more efficiancy and fuel economy.

they are hooked up to brake pedal I believe from factory... So when it ingages when you're driving, then comes off when you hit the brakes. But you can hook it up to a switch, so you can operate it manually. That's how the convertor in my car is hooked up

sh*t, you'd be put to work if u were closer lol, prolly make some good $$$ off me. This is making me want to quit working on it, these little hicups are a pain in the *ss!

I've got lots to learn before I could work... lol
also, there's no vacuum lines from trans to engine... The speedo line I showed is from trans to speedo gauge in your dash. I believe it works on vacuum, so if yours is loose, but still working, you may hear whisseling, or chirping from your dash as you drive

no i was refering to the vac line on the other side of trans. wher does that hose run to?

hmmm... not sure...
cruise control?

no its a vac line for the shifting ,i dont know where it connects, maybe back of carb i dont know?

it would be at back of carb, if anything...
