whoever told you eclipse where infinities was poorly educated. Eclipse is made by fujitsu ten which is an outstanding company. been running their stuff for years. but like you said hopefully this setup goes issue free.

anyone have those dimensions?
I dont have the exact measurements but I believe its only about 13" tall. It was a squeeze for my 12 in there. I almost couldnt get it out

oh ok. been looking at boxes and such and it seems most for a 12" are around 15" tall.

The clear height is around 13"+\- from rear deck to the trunk shelf.

whats the depth from rear seat brace?

how well would a 10" in a bandpass box work? again im just looking for the extra punch not the overkill bass

what are the dimensions of the raised area inside the trunk? i would measure myself but im stuck in the bed for a couple weeks
I was sold on them, being told their were Infinity Kappa with a different name on them. quote]

If i was told a speaker was the same as Infinity i would never look at them lol. If you're looking for a sub box for a 10" sub go with this type if you can find it. I believe Kenwood made them? They stopped the production on them a few years ago but will fit perfectly in the shelf and put out the best bass hands down. I had my rockford P2 in one and it hit like a King Kong. THis box plus my sub and MTX amp gave me the hardest hitting system in my school and other kids had 2 12's and they couldn't even touch it.

I'll try to find the dimenions so you could build it because i'll be hard pressed to find a better box than thoes.

ok so i have made up my mind and sticking to it. eclipse 6.5 3 way comp in doors with mid and tweet in dash. eclipse 5.25" point source coax mounted in rear deck, Eclipse sw7000 10" all aluminum cone dual 4ohm vc mounted in a sealed box in the trunk. amp is the mb quart onx 4.80/500 5 channel. should be all the sound i need and be pretty clean. i have that same sub in my truck running at 250w rms and it just simply pounds and can take up to 450w rms. thats my plan and sticking to it. now to get a box setup. never built one so its either learn or go prefab. now if i just wasnt stuck in the bed and could go measure that shelf in the trunk for depth.

I would make one yourself. Put the sub exactly where you want it. Plus I dont think it would be easy finding a box that would fit right in that spot.
