I bent the crap out of mine to the point that they don't work anymore. Was looking at getting some of these.

I used them to the point I wanted something that was good for a straight pull on them too, why I posted the ones I did.

I should have kept it to myself given some of the prudes here.

Gee grumpy!
Just feeding it back.. ;)

Way too many of you all in your feelings over nothing for a bunch of "tough" car guys... get over it.

There's a reason some of us have our stuff running top notch, we know our stuff.

and by the way I would never call anyone's car junk! We are all proud to some degree of what we have accomplished or failed to with our cars regardless of anyone else's opinion.
Good.👍

Thanks to all that gave a pic of what they used. Friend brought over two of his pullers, they fit in some places but not all. We figured that one of my curved pics would be strong enough and would fit around the boot. It has enough of a curve that it would grip at many angle on the boot corner. It worked perfectly. It's came in a kit with two sizes. This one was the biggest one. Fits at all locations from inside the wheel well.

I was recently plagued with the same problem, getting the sparkplug boots off of my Foxbody Capri. I have a pair of pliers specifically for that purpose, but they just don't fit in the recess properly. I too use dielectric grease inside the boots, but doesn't seem to make much difference. I ended up bending a loop at the end of a piece of heavier gage welding wire and lo and behold it popped the boots right off.

I thought about that but I didn't have a thick enough wire to hold the shape while pulling on it.

Old screw-on antenna masts make great tools when bent to shape

The welding rod that I used was a similar gage to a wire coat hanger, which I'm sure could also be used.
