Is anyone running aftermarket speaker kick panels? Tired of drilling into the lower portion of my door panel and am in the process of body-working the panels to fix some sun rot. Only concern I have is in the description, it says the parking brake may need to be bent. Looking for some feedback.

Yeah, parking brake needs to be bent. I don't have them, I've talked to a few people That do tho. They suggest just heating it. I believe they said it needs to end up an inch and a half from its current location.

How funny....my dash little speaker popped on me just today....i just made holes in the kicker panels went to bestbuys, bought some kenwoods....and wow im liking the sound and what i did.....i though i needed to bend the brake lever, but nope! With alittle man power i got it to fit like a glove....ck it out...

Damn. I may just have to do it like That. Idk why I couldn't think simpler haha I was gonna go all out and make some haha. Got my shock sensor there tho, wonder if the speaker magnet would interfere.

Edit: what size speakers are those?

so I rarely have useful input here and mainly ask for advice from you all, but in this instance I'd like to report I have the same exact speakers pictured w/ a different type of kickpanels, bent my p brake but no regrets it works perfectly my only regret is I dont have speaker covers and I think I'll have to disassemble and redo it eventually for that reason only

hey dlo253,was the computer under your right kickpanel if so how did you install ?

Well, I haven't had a chance to do mine yet. Hopefully this week. But I have a sbc 350, so no computer. But I was reading about the premade ones and it says you need to relocate it, under the seat I believe. I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure I saw it on Crutchfield, or the other site that's posted in here. I think they sell a kit for it but I'm not sure.
