Starting problem !

I zoomed into the pic of the inside of the cap, that coil/carbon button is broken off on the underside of the cap.

If you buy a cap and rotor kit it should come with it.
I didn't zoom first time around, I didn't catch that. Get that new cap and rotor kit, dude.

I would replace the cap and rotor first and see if it starts and if it doesn't then try the module but if the button is broken in the cap that is most likely the issue.
If you can post a pic of the button with it removed from the cap.

Just get the button

clean the contacts on the cap - rotor

see if it works before you go spending a bunch of money you dont have to.

Ok, great. Now go drive your car to the parts store find an HEI cap and rotor kit and put that in. And your car will run a LOT better for longer. You're still going to need them based on the pictures. Glad your module was the issue and you found it and fixed it.
