I have an 85 Monte LS and I found out that it's cheaper to buy a whole column from a wrecking yard than to replace the switches. What other cars can I take a column out of? It needs to be coulmn shift and preferably blue to match my interior.

78-87= Olds cutlass ,Malibu, regal almost any g body car as long as it the column without floor shift unless you desire to change over it will still work

Turn signal levers also changed in 82 before that the wipers were on the dash.

Never turn down a column just for color. SEM to the rescue.

Have you guys ever wondered what it would take to do away with the weak-@$$ columns in the G-body's that are so easy to jack? I wondered how much would be involved in putting a newer one that is more secure. Of course you can put those ugly collars over them, but a friend in high school had put a telescoping column in his Cutlass (no idea the donor car, but it seems like it was on older toro or caddy).

I saw a build thread online somewhere where they had a cadillac column in a grand prix. I think any column can be customized to fit though. a double d end column would be easier though.

'82-'87 are the years that will work in your car.

Make sure that the wiper switch matches yours (delay or 2-speed), or it won't work correctly, or at all.
