Im puting a tilt coulmn in my 81 regal but its out of a 86 cutlass my shifter is on the column. Will the shifter handle on the regals colum fit the cutlass column.

Are you sure that's the right column though .... my 81's column is different than an 86's and that's Cutlass to Cutlass. Most notable my wiper controls are on the dash .... 86 they are on the turn signal
