Steering Column ?

I bought a floor shift column for my 83 Cutlass today. It came out of an 87 442 the guy said. My questions are will it work in car? It came with a sport steering wheel but its in bad shape so its gonna go. Also does anybody know what SEM blue paint will match the blue interior?

Yes the column will work in your car...........As far as what Sem blue..go to your auto parts store that sells Sem brands there and ask to see their chip card...Duplicolor is also an option...I have read that it's just as good as Sem products... 8)

I think the wiper switch only changes in the late 70s-very early 80s models. Could be wrong though.

Read that topic Dougfather posted. Easy way out is to swap your 83' wiper switch into the new column, harness and all. Then it will work as it does now. What color blue? Mine was Regal Blue, and is discontinued, but I found some on the net' in Michigan I think it was.

Thanks for the help. As far as the blue goes im not really sure all i know is its a light blue.

This is Regal Blue.The console was dyed with SEM. The dash is original. Ignore the door, it's old and dirty.

That looks about right I will have to check tomorrow to be sure. I drive it everyday you would think a person would pay attention to these things.

I hope it isn't this color blue. It's between Reglal Blue and Wedgewood Blue. SEMs rep couldn't help.It had to be custom blended.

Im not really sure which one it is. Im a little bit of trouble with colors.
