Stroking a ZZ4 block.

Since not all kits need the same clearancing I would bet it is probably not. Some kit's don't even need clearanced at all. Some need a lot.

highly doubtful, but the clearencing is easy
 
Main reason I ask is that the ZZ4 383 far as I know is the same block. So kinda got me thinking once my engine gets tired I will go that route.
 
Well you will know when it gets old and its torn down haha. That's a good question though.

Sure will but it would be nice to know before hand but it will be awhile before it happens.
 
If it matters, the ZZ4 has a one piece crank so a "400" crank won't fit. There are many aftermarket 3.75" crank manufacturers. Block clearancing may or may not be necessary depending on the rod/bolt manufacturer. I doubt the ZZ4 blocks are knotched though.
