Suggestions for brake controller installation, '99-06 GM Truck

Slightly off-topic, but somewhat related. Installed this today with my buddy. Seems to make a significant difference. Trans temps are 20-30°F cooler than before.

Also less prone to heat soak. Going up long inclines or flooring it before would spike it up to around 190°F. Now it’s around 150-155°F regardless.

 
If you use the factory harness, test the wires. I drove my 02 to Ohio with the trailer brakes hooked to the parking lights.

I mounted mine under the dash; I don't think it looks bad. I'll get a pic later.
 
I mounted mine to the steel brace that holds the plastic cover on the lower dash panel up out of the way and no drilling there's holes there like it was ment to be sorry no pictures i sold my truck
