Summit cams any good?

Lots of Pontiac guys run the Summit 2801 and 2802 with zero issues. As a matter of fact they tend to really like them. Most of the horror stories of lobes going flat are usually the result of incorrect break-in, mismatched springs or high mileage.

I appreciate the fact that Summit offers a low-cost alternative.

Hi the cam are summit brand cam work,I have used about 5 of them in 350s and a 400 all still going as long as you match the spring for the lift. Go on ebay and look up the z28 valve springs for the summit cams,the spring do have a 290+lbs at full open i have used them with lots of cams under .550 lift.
