Here's the dash in Bonnewagon's Pontiac and I don't know how he came across one in that great condition and he tops its off with silver gauges that are almost as rare. This is the first Pontiac I have seen with the silver dash and it works real nice with that 4 speed stick sitting in a console that looks like it was made for the car.... Congrats Mark, you did a great job on it....

Agree! The silver gauges look very cool against the dash. Well done!

Here, here. Tastefully done job. 8)

Does look nice. I have the same dash in my el camino except I have the black gauges. Found a mint one at the local u pull along with the matching center console. Found a nice one in a lemans 4 door too but when I went back to get it someone broke the face plate and had cut up the dash getting the gauges out, then they just left the gauges there :blam:

GP silver dash gauges are rare? I ask because I've seen them at the junkyard a while back. I hope I didnt walk past a gold mine.

Not sure about the gauges but the silver gauge overlay is supposedly rare. Here's a pic of mine right after I first put it in and before I got all the wiring done. Aftermarket tach and guages were zip tied to the face plate till I could get the ones in the dash working.

Looks great!
Silver dash was in the 78 Lemans and all Grand Ams, right?
What about the GP Aerocoupes?

Not sure on the make or what years either, I'm sure someone on here knows though. The one in my car came out of a 1980 grand prix. The one I found in the lemans 4 door wasn't silver, I just thought it would be nice to save another one of those dashes from the crusher but I was too late.

One other rare thing about Bonnewagon's dash is the tape deck  Really rare if it still works!
Just giving you sh*t Mark!

As far as silver gauges, I believe that's a '78 only deal. Not sure on the silver dash bezel. I think that came about after '81. I've seen them in non-2+2's.
