Thanks for posting more pics. That car is a true time capsule machine...absolutely beautiful.
That is probably the finest original Malibu that I've ever seen.

Greetings Norman & all; Wow I just can't say enough about the paint on your ride! My Original paint may be good (debatable), but yours is Outstanding. If ya haven't done it yet consider spraying something (rust proofing or white lithium grease) up into the door drains holes. Or better yet take off the inner door panels & if ya see NO rust, roll up the windows & spray some 3M rust proofing down into the lower door seems where the outer skin meets the inner skin. If ya got oxidation the rust proofing won't stick well. Just use white lithium grease spray as it will congeal & re-pell moisture. Same thing in the trunk where the rear quarter meets the trunk floor seam. And if ya really want to get nuts pull the back seat & under window trim. Then spray down into the rear quarter area just behind the doors where the panel meets the floor. Just a few ideas to help keep it nice. Ole, Bob

I know that TimO22 guy very well myself. I see him everyday, as for he's my boss. We built my whole dam car together. All aroung good dude and he knows some stuff too. LOL

Varah “AKA Ole Bob” thanks for the advise I certainly want to preserve the original body. It appears you have investigated the areas that are prone to rust on these cars. The car is from PA and the previous owner did perform the rustproofing where as there are plugs in the rocker panels where treatment was applied. The quarters inside the truck, door panels and under the window all will be investigated and treated as you suggested. Thank you kindly for the advise.
