Hello Everyone,

I just installed a SBC in my 87 cutlass and i have removed the computer . I have lost the HVAC controls the blower motor does not work at any setting. Can i remove the birds nest of wires from the passenger side, or do i need them for the HVAC to work.

Thanks

I had the same problem when I removed the computer...if I remember correctly behind passenger side valve cover there is a connector that has a dark green wire that you will need to power for ac & blower. My car was originally a buick 231 v6, not sure if factory v8 is the same.

There is a heavier gauge red wire beneath the blower motor that powers the whole system. If you changed your power distribution you may have disconnected it. The dark green white I believe is specifically to turn on the compressor. The fan and heat will work without the dark green being hooked up.
