where can i find someone to do t-tops or how can i get them. all help is asked. this is for a 85 gp

Sadly, it looks like we're out of luck. Although hopefully this article is wrong...

http://www.sunroofs.org/faq.htm#T-Top%20Options (look under "Can I get T Tops installed on my car")

HOWEVER, I just randomly though of this. Ok, bear with me here. I'm a Honda guy too. And my friend and I are reallyinto CRX's. Well, in Japan, special models of CRX's have an all glass roof. They're considered "glasstops". People who own junkyards over there physically cut the rooflines off those cars, and sell them in the US for ungodly prices. The people then custom weld and fabricate that glasstop roofline on in place of your factory one. Likewise, you might be able to do that with our G Body roofline. Obviously you'd have to use a GP or Monte (because of the rear quarter window), but it might be able to be done. If not, surely comment. I'd like to hear some feedback on this. It surely seems rather intensive, however, with no current aftermarket T Top suppliers, that may be your only option (aside from getting a G Body GP that already has a T Top on it). haha!!

If you can find a donor t top vehicle I don't see why the roof can't be cut off of your car and replaced by the t top roof...

That's what I was thinking. BUT, I know it'd be extensive, but does anyone have any ballpark numbers on how much doing that would cost? Like just some wild guess? Like for the rof, then for the fabrication. And would you be able to use a Monte roof too? Because finding a T Top GP is kinda hard...

Keep in mind GM had lots of problems with leaks in 78. They issued service bulletins, then even changed suppliers. If they couldn't get it right, I seriously doubt some shop can do better.

finding a t-top gp is like impossible. but i was told that what i can do. was that i could cut a roof out of another car and put it on mine, or i would need the frame of the t-tops. but i know some one online that makes the glass. and prices can always range but i would imagine at least 1000 to about 2500 is what i'm thinking
any one have a t-top car that they are parting out

i know that leaks are the twin of t-tops but if you keep the rubber replaced around or kept it up then leaks wouldn't exist, correct
