T50 to T5 transmission swap

Indeed. The mount is level or parallel with the ground when the trans is tilted 17 degrees. The shifter also tilts towards the driver when the trans is mounted this way.
When tha trans is mounted straight, not tilted 17 degrees, the mount is now tilted 17 degrees and the shifter is straight up and down.

So it would seem an F-Body T5 would work if you fabbed up a wedge for the crossmember.

A wedge of some sort would work indeed. I have a 6 cylinder t5 if you are interested. I see your in Cleveland. I am about 2 hours from there. Also a nwc v8 t5 as well.

I'm gonna hold off on buying anything yet till I do more research but I'll keep you in mind.

Seems from all the pics I've seen of T50's including the ones in the service manual, the input shaft does not have 26 splines. Much less. That would require some more mods but not certain what exactly.

The spline count really doesn't matter. A clutch change will fix that. You just buy a clutch with the proper spline count.
