Ok, I have pink, light green, brown, yellow, and green-blue wires running from the trunk(tail lights) to the Fuse Box, and plug into the right side of the fuse box
Here's a pic of how my fuse box looks, everything's connected.

I can't see the harness for the tail lights in that picture. I have always seen the harness for the rear connected to the left side of the fuse box. After you removed the spliced wire did the fuse blow again?

i had that problem with my 84 and it turned out the aluminum wires on the drivers side in the trunk had a break in one of them. i basically peeled back the black cover about 10 inches from the socket and did a contiuity test on each one. trust me this wire didnt look broken until i actually moved it around a few times and it broke completely. oddly enough tho i twisted em together an badda bing badda boom, everything worked fine ever since. hope it helps man!

why would someone ground anything to a brown wire? thats amateur hour if i ever seen it! is green power?? like go?? lmao take it to a shop homie!!
