That is strange that the inspector would rely on an article in a magazine to base your car on
 
The dream weaver article was about a "concept car" and not a production vehicle (hence the 8.5" rear axle with firebird disc brakes. Sounds like he could use a Haynes or Chilton book (maybe E-Bay?).

And the answer was: There was a time in US car production history that horsepower was not talked about or published. This occurred during the late 70's into the early 80's. Everyone was more concerned with efficiency and fuel economy. Unfortunately this brochure does not list any horsepower figures for any of the cars.
