Yep, I did noticed it, but something that got my eye , were 8.5" diff and rear disc brakes... :shock:
If I use this paper in my cars inspection, i have to have rear discs also...

The dream weaver article was about a "concept car" and not a production vehicle (hence the 8.5" rear axle with firebird disc brakes. Sounds like he could use a Haynes or Chilton book (maybe E-Bay?).

I have Haynes repair manual, but there is nothing about any powerfigures...
Our vehicle inspectors use normally wikipedia, especially with cars like mine, where no technical information can be found...

only thing I can think of is use this http://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/pontiac/80p_48.html to show the engine choices and the wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_V8_engine (plus the Buick and Chevy ones) to show the out put numbers.

And the answer was: There was a time in US car production history that horsepower was not talked about or published. This occurred during the late 70's into the early 80's. Everyone was more concerned with efficiency and fuel economy. Unfortunately this brochure does not list any horsepower figures for any of the cars.
