TEMPERATURE GAUGE RISES???'s

I have a autometer water temperature gauge installed in my sbc engine engine doesn't overheat but if parked in the hot weather for a long time when i get in the car the temperature hand will be reading like 140 degrees ,any help.Thanks

That's normal... heat builds up and stays there. Put a temp gauge to read the interior temp.

Interior temp is 175!!!
