There is no such thing as one synthetic oil that is "true" synthetic and another that is not. Any synthetic oil is dino juice that has been reworked into a more uniform hydrocarbon chain length. The chain length is what has been synthesized.
And that more uniform chain length is what makes synthetic oil more slippery. But isn't that what motor oil is supposed to be, slippery? Isn't that what you want it to be? Slippery is what lubricates, last I heard.
