I have 275/60/15's on back now.

Im using the 700r4. Can you adjust the the cable to work without any parts?

i personally prefer the 200r4. it is a HIGHLY underrated trans, especially when built right. they got a bad rap because the TV system was new and not understood. and because some of the 200r4's had very few clutches as they were behind grandmas v6 buick. the 700's had plenty of problems stock also. when properly built both trans will take insane power.
the 200r4 (please don't confuse the 200r4 with the 200) has a slightly lower first gear (2.74 vs 3.06 not a big difference) but a shorter drop to second. this preserves the power, giving you better OVERALL acceleration. it also has a slightly better overdrive. and it can shift into 1st gear at WOT, which the 700 (except for a few special 'vette ones) can not do.
having said this, if you insist on the 700, my brother is selling a brand new stage 3 Bowtie Overdrives unit for $1500. it is built to take over 600hp and has never been used.

I personally never liked the large difference between 1st and 2nd gear in the 700R4. Granted I only had a 305 in front of it, but I would take that thing to like 5,200 RPM and when it would shift into 2nd it would just die, and I even had a B&M shift kit in it 8)

What can I find a 700r, the crossmember, and driveshaft to swap into a g-body with a th350.

What rear gears would y'all run with a 700r (right now it has 2.73's, I pulled the covers after getting mixed answers on what it sould've had stock) and a 255/60 on 15X8. I'm was thinking 3.42 with a th350 and 3:73's with the 700r.

What does a stock used 700r cost?

I went from a 305 chevy and turbo 350 to a 388 stroker and 700r4 trans and used my stock crossmember. You only have to make a few mods. Here is the web sites that helped me.

If you dont want to do the cheap route like I did then you can buy a G Force crossmember here.

how much do you have to shorten the driveshaft for the 200r?

700?

how you you adjust the tv cable probably?

no way to make the column shifter work?

so you just have to set the WOT position?

anyone?

like it says in the link, push the adjuster in, go to WOT with the linkage itself and you're good. then just make sure that you get WOT with the pedal too.
that only works if you have the right carb. otherwise you may need the TV correction kit to get the proper geometry.

what is the right carb?
