I never understood the logic behind the SS. If you are paying that much money for a 4 door "performance" car then you are buying a BMW not a Chevy.

The GTO, G8, Caprice PPV, and SS sedan are all rebadged Holdens that we were fortunate enough to have imported into America. Holden saved GM's performance car market from the mid-2000s until the Camaro was reborn. The Australian Holden plant is ceasing production this year anyway.

Greetings Guys; Well the few here that know my last name have been waiting for some comment from me. I find it sad for the workers as they will be out of a good paying job. Being from the Janesville area the closing of the GM plant was devastating to the local economy. As for the car I'm not a four door fan as one of my good buddies says "that's a four letter word"! I was fortunate to have acquired a TWO door Holden, used with 4000 miles on it back in 2006 as GM was having trouble selling them. All through my life I've sacrificed cloths, food, going out & even good living conditions to have unique automobiles. And I'll bet I'm not the only one here that falls into that boat! The sleeper aspect of an SS is out standing even better if you are fortunate enough to have an PPV 9C3. One of my friends over on the Chicago Holden Connection has one of each, Ya all three. For any of you guys in the Wisconsin - Illinois area this coming Sunday June 11th we are having a Holden Summer Solstice Meet. You're welcome to join us for some BS, beer & food. It looks like we'll have around 20-25 cars & that's a lot to have in one place at the same time considering how exclusive these things are. I think I can post a path??

A couple of tidbits, look at the Holden emblem, a Lion (I'm a Leo) with it's paw on the sun (my initials are RAH) ya I know that the sun god is just RA, but the sound is the same & of course I' a Holden. I just had to have one of these. And it is a lousy drag -race car it weights 3900 Lbs. My usual BS is back in the 1700's the good Holden,s came to North America & my 17th cousin's, the bad ones were sent to the penal colony down under! Take care Ole' Bob.
