BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

I'm torn.

The mod molecules still left in me say that's going to be challenging, but a very sleek dash if you can pull it off.

The keep it stock looking molecules say a resounding- NO!

Well, dunno what to tell you there. Guess you’re just gonna have to find some sort of inner balance between your opposing voices, because this IS going to happen eventually.

I’ve always loved the layout of the dash in my old ‘76 Cutlass, possibly the sportiest looking dash they ever made, and look forward to incorporating it into this one. Oldsmobiles, despite how much I love them, have always had the most dull, bland and boring dashboards in them IMO. Even the 442’s. Sitting behind this dash will at least make it feel like the performance car it’s going to be.
Love it man ! If anybody can make it work, its you!

Thanks for the encouragement! I doubt anyone will be disappointed once we’re done.

Do it. This body style could use a little softening up. Seems the designers in 78-80 only had rulers to create cars with.

Agreed, and thank you for the encouragement as well.

It was the malaise era.

I like it, pretty sure Donovan won't just saws all and shove it in. Adds that 70's flare, leave that b*tch Orange! The 70's Cutlass were great cars, including in the reliability department. Couldn't say that for brand c, d or especially f, from that time period.

I'm very interested in how this turns out. Knowing Donovan it will look amazing. I forgot all about this dash idea, so I'm stoked to see how it comes together.

Nope, no sloppy here. It’s “go big and do it right, or don’t bother at all”. And as you guys have seen from me in the past, I’m not afraid to tackle some pretty daunting projects.
This one will be no different.

It is however, low on the priority list at the moment. I’ve currently got other things to tackle and knock out first.
