I should have weighed the wire hub caps on my 82 Regal when I got rid of them. They must have been 4 lbs a piece plus all the chrome rockers and wheel moldings I got rid of, I must have cut 30 lbs off my car.

All the lower chrome (6" wide panels and wheel well mouldings): 9.5 lbs
Broken down:
6" wide lower chrome panels: one side(x5 separate panels, no wheel well mouldings): 3.5 lbs, full car set (x10 separate panels, no wheel well mouldings) 7.0 lbs, did not include clips in either.
Wheel well mouldings (full set(4) with screws): 2.5 lbs
Weighed on a 6 lb food scale (which is why I couldn't weigh both sides of the lower mouldings at once).
