Found a quick flip for someone while I was out and about
Smooth as glass!Followup to my last post....this is why I don't buy "nice" finished cars. It is in for repair where somebody creased the lower quarter (which was already full of fiberglass filler). Supposedly has "new quarters". Yep, right out of the can. 3/8" at the "GTO" ornament holes. I'm surprised the studs were long enough to hold a speednut

Did the area look full of filler, or was it hard to tell if it hadn’t been hit?Followup to my last post....this is why I don't buy "nice" finished cars. They wanted to make it faster like a Corvette. more fiberglass thn metal. It actually looked pretty good, but there were clues. Some bubbling at the front of the wheelwell, and when the trunk was open the seam (lap joint 🙄 )where the lowers went in was very visible.
I think the casual observer would have thought it was a decent car, unless they got a GOOD look at it. All the late-model-driving customers thought it was a nice car when it was sitting in the lot. Definitely a case of "as long as it looks good from the outside". Whoever blocked all that mud did a nice job, but should have spent some time on learning to butt weld a panel.
That Chevy truck has that "new look the kids are after. That or the hot water shrank the tires....Found a bunch yesterday while on a parts run
