My kids will be very upset with me, but just like the title says, I'm thinking about selling the '80 Lemans that I bought a year and a half or so ago. I've driven it only a little bit, replaced the headliner and water pump. That's about it. It's a very nice, original car, still in its original paint. Very nice color combo too. It has a 229 V6. It runs good and drives nice. Mileage is about 82k. The frame and the rest of the car is very clean. The only rust is some surface rust at the very bottom of the quarters behind the rear tires, very minor, no holes anywhere. I'm more into drag racing and I hate to cut the car up. I also need to concentrate on my other '80 project. I'd need to get $3,500 for it. Any interest?

Thanks,
Troy

Decided to sell it huh? I wish I had time for another car but I can barely find time to finish my GP. That body looks really clean.

If it's living outside selling it makes perfect sense b/c the condition would suddenly deteriorate rapidly over the next few winters. If the car lives in a garage why sell it? It's probably worth the 3 you want right now but it could be worth substantially more 10-15 years from now. They will probably make the Monte Carlo again 1 day but the value of Pontiac is going up. I saw a keychain I gave away b/c it wasnt even worth $20 in late 2011 now I just saw someone buy the same thing for about $60 recently. A KEYCHAIN. If the keychain tripled in value whose to say a GP or a Lemans can't at least double in value over the next decade. That's one mean looking car!

The car lives in the garage. It was garaged by the folks that I got it from too. I don't really have a need to sell it. It just sits most of the time so I thought I'd see if someone else might be ready for a new toy. If I keep it, it will end up with a Pontiac drivetrain. I just don't know when I'd get to it...

Very nice car!! Wish you luck selling - the market is the crapper right now but that's a nice car @ a nice price. You might want to wait till spring to sell. I know you don't want to cut-up your car but why don't you build a dual purpose car. You really don't need to cut your car up and still enjoy it on the street. By the way I didn't know they put the 229 in the Lemans.

I do still have it. I kind of forgot about selling it. I still don't have any immediate plans for it, thought I did start gathering a few pieces for it.
