I got me an engine and Transmission for a Steal of a Deal.
$460
1968-70 Oldsmobile Rocket 350 (39558 #2)
TH 350 trans
And a Quick-Jet 650CFM 4 barrel

The Engine Turns all of the Spark Plugs looked good.
It came out of a Running Car that he's building with a Twin turbo LS Engine. It was a Badass engine too, I forgot to take a Pic.

The engine needs Valve cover and Oil Pan Gaskets for sure. Will also install my Edelbrock Performer Intake and New Valley pan Gasket Going to replace the Head Gaskets before putting it in the Car.
Will rebuild if needed but I'll cross that bridge once the Heads are off.

Transmission Leaks like No other so I'll have to get it rebuilt. I want it to be Stronger anyway. If I use it it's temporary till I get a Manual Set up all sorted out.

The Carb is in Brand new condition.

Got it all for $460

it's not the big block of My dreams but It just seemed like it was meant to be.
It has #5 Heads and I hear that those are pretty good with Headers.

This engine ought to get me to my 400HP and 400 Lb/ft Goal. I'm planning on hitting it with 125HP of Nitrous.

I was working on the 350 and got a warning on my car that said it had to be registered or towed within 72 hours. I didn't want to work on the 307 but I wasn't going to finish my 350 in 3 days

It had an exhaust leak and intake manifold leak. So I went to town on it. I used the Stock Intake manifold from the 350 and found a killer deal on Some Headman long tube headers. I went ahead and Welded up some Dual exhausts out of cheap Pipes and Glass packs from Summit racing. to sweeten the deal I bought a Demon 625 Carb.

At least most of this fancy stuff will Bolt right onto my 350 when it is done.

I finally Mounted this in the Trunk. I'm going to get it all set up for the new engine, one less thing to worry about.

I did some Custom Gold-ness a while ago.She gets more attention now!
My vinyl top was starting to get tiny holes. and when I removed it there was a bit of rust.
I went with some Rustoleum hammered Gold paint top, one thing led to another. Metallic Gold wheels, Gold Bumpers. I think it really brings out the factory gold Pin stripe!
And Gold Side Pipes Baby. The Gold holds up on the Side pipes because I painted them warm. it even handles the wet.
