Tilt at hiway speed

When you steer the elcamino tilts.
i don't know how to interpret this statement.
I need more info. When you say the car tilts do you mean it leans? Like one side is higher than the other? Which side does it tilt towards?
Or does the steering wheel tilt?
Does the car go straight down the road or does it pull/drift to one side? If it does this, are you accounting for road crown?
Who did your alignment? I would take it back to them, these are issues that a front end specialist could answer after placing it on the alignment machine and analyzing the readings.

Front end completely new
Not the crown in the road.
Go straight were ever you point it but make a small adj on the highway it tilts just a little and dosent come back.
The back spring look like a plisbury doe boy fat in the middle 87 elcamino
I wonder if there lowering springs???

Every car “leans” when you turn. The question is to what extent, and if it seems excessive or unusual. Most stock G-Bodies had pretty soft suspension, floppy frames, and assuming they’re original, the suspension bushings probably need to be replaced.

If you have adjustable-height coilovers, make sure the perches are even height and tightly secured.

I request a driving video to identify the problem.

I can't tell from your description if the the car leans left to right or the steering wheel has to be moved. If you sit on all four corners of the body, does the body sink approximately the same? Hopefully you're not a lightweight - 200+lbs would be best - if you are small, perhaps it's time to enlist the local fat guy 🙂🙂.

If the frame and suspension is in good shape and the body bushings are original, then I would look there also.

Drove the el camino last night seamed to have something to do with stearing.
I had a friend who a mechanic drive it.
Once around the block he told me the slop in stearing wheel cause by leather strap between shaft and stearing box.
Which was made worse by somebody tightened the adjustment on srearing box.

He told me when you turn the wheel ir should come back it dosent.

Sorry i did a awful job explaining it.
Thanks for the patience

If that's the case,re-adjusting the box isn't hard.try resetting that bolt\lock nut on the top and see if the wheel returns with the test drive.
here's a short how to video
