does anyone have a video on how to adjust the timing and carb properly i have an edelbrock 1406 and i never adjusted it when i bought it. its killing my gas right now and prices are at $3.55 no bueno :x what should my timing be set to??? and what about my carb all help is greatly appreciated

The two air/mixture screws on the front of a 1406 only effect idle, but to run them on a more economy setting start the car and one at a time turn in clockwise till the idle starts to slow then back out a half turn. then readjust your idle stop. Make sure that if its an electric choke model that the choke is not half closed all the time, you can adjust the travel on the choke by loosening the three screws on the side. the fast idle stop is on the underside of the linkage.

you can use a vacuum gauge to adjust the idle mixture....adjust each screw to achieve the highest vacuum and your done. First tho make sure your float levels are correct...
