timing chain cover

is there any trick to making the cover fit? it seems to be suck a tight fit. i cannot get both the top and bottom in at the same time.

loosen a bunch of the oil pan bolts and grind the edges off the lip where it meets the pan in the corner..just use extra RTV... when reinstalling it

well i had to buy a new gasket set and it came with a smaller rubber piece that wasnt hard to get it so i used it. hopefully it seels. its quite a bit smaller than the last
