TIMING CHAIN INTERFERENCE

Building up another SBC and had some interference problems with the timing chain & gear hitting the block at the upper cam oil gallery - Has anyone else experienced this??

I had that problem when I installed a double row chain on my sbc. I used a die grinder and ground a little off of the center oil plug to gain the clearance. Just make sure you tape everything off so you don't get metal in where you don't want it.
