Tire age question

Man that is old. Similar to the old Dunlop GT Qualifier tread from 20+ years ago. You know, real all season tread.

I actually got that wheel and tire in a set of 5 from Staten Island, NY.

Suck it up and buy new
I have seen tires come apart with no warning and wipe out the side of a car

These are the others. The tire I test fit on the car was so old it was a radial with a bias ply size on it. I cleaned them up nice though.

Michelins on the car I just got are like new.....cept they're 18 years old. Drivin just short distances til I get a new set.

I inspected the inside of the tires and sure enough the tire was just starting to crack near the sidewall. They were a ticking time bomb. I can’t wait to put the new tires on so I can drive the car.
