If you use the A20 bearing as pictured above, you do not need a seal. A20s are like 10 bucks a pop on rock auto

I’ve got both styles in vehicles. Both have steel rings. I’ve never seen a 9” without a steel ring whether inside or outside seal. The inside seal type of steel ring is typically narrower.

The main part of the install is finished. Just finishing up getting the brake lines attached to it, then the E-brake cables to the Camaro brakes.
