Thank you for your attention, you may return to your previous programming and inhospitable cold weather while I head back out into our North Georgia sunshine...

ck80, you can keep your f'in humidity. Savannah in summer is misery.

Santa Fe does not believe in snow plows. The city government just waits for it to melt. So, in a long bitter spell, driving in town is a chore. However, the sun usually melts things pretty fast. Black ice can be a problem on the interstate.

In my limited experience, those in the Great White North are tougher people than us American softies. That's why there's not a mad rush south. That's also why they call people living in Maine, Mainiacs. -20F keeps out the riff raff, so most choose to stay. Most everyone in New Hampshire seems to know how to weld. In Vermont, well, they make Ben and Jerry's ice cream even in January.

If you look at the population in Canada about 85% of the people live close to the border as far south as we can. I am not tough and would love to be a softie sitting on the beach with an umbrella in my drink and my scuba tanks at my side....
