So the passenger side bolts up but only one bolt on the driver's side lines up, right? What transmission mount are you useing? The T-350 uses an offset mount. Show me the mount you have and we can go from there.

I can only get one bolt to go in on each side. The holes are pretty much at the wrong angle. I can get the trans mount bolted up even though the crossmember is not fitting the frame correctly. Even though this would not be the cause of my problem, the mount was for a 200-4R trans, but it is still bolting up fine.

So if it's temporary, why not drill new holes?

It is a stock piece and I shouldn't have to do that. Besides, there isn't anything to drill into on the drivers side, the angle is that much off. Why this crossmember bolts up fine on one G body frame and not another is mystery to me, that is what I am trying to figure out. I wish there wasn't so much snow outside or I could go check out other G bodies to compare the frames.

In what way is the 350 mount offset? Front/rear or left/right?

Dan, check Olds Power .... I scanned up the drawings right out of a GM parts catalog. Shows the right mount (and GM's part number) for the th350.

I can see where the frame extension goes ... this is your driver's side.

my aftermarket extension bolted to the th350 mount holes on the driver's side with the 200-4r crossmember attached.

That's the mount I was referring to, the offset one. Jrm81bu has the link. That one should place the crossmember over the frame holes correctly. Did you try raising the trans out of the way and lineing up the frame holes? Because if you are saying that, disregarding the trans completely, the holes are still way off, then either the crossmember is wrong for that frame or something got tweaked. Is this the crossmember from this car? If not, what did it come out of? Could the car have been in an accident? I guess if nothing else works you could weld or bolt a plate to each end of the crossmember a to fit over the frame holes. I did that when the ends rusted right off mine. While I was at it I changed the location for the transmission mount so I could use the F body poly mount.
