Transmission compatibility?

Afternoon everyone. I had an extra cross member that I didn't need so I traded for a transmission as the guy went to a 350 with a T350 transmission.

I grabbed his 200 in solid working condition from his Monte Carlo. After I got it...I realized that it has a TV cable spot, thus appears to be on overdrive transmission? Mine is not. Mine is just a plain old 3 speed attached to my 3.8.

What will I need to do to make this transmission work for my application? (1985 Cutlass, stock 3.8 engine).

Needs degreased and fully cleaned buy I think it was a good trade...he needed the 350 transmission cross and I needed a trans for my 3.8.

I will obviously fully degrease it, clean it up, new transmission filter and pan seal along with new output shaft seal as well.

Thanks for the advice!

Looks like a TH 250. Note the corner cut off the pan, the stud behind the cooler lines and the vacuum modulator.

That's a kickdown cable not a throttle valve cable.

That is why I love this forum. Thank you for clarifying! What will I need to make it work for my application and will my trans cross member I have now work?

I thought this was for the TV cable...always learning!

TH250C actually
What will I need to make this compatible with my Cutlass? Will it be a direct swap for my 200 that I have stock?
I have the option of getting this cleaned up and installing it...or pulling my stock trans and having it rebuilt. This is the cheaper route lol!

That's a Buick engine in your car and that TH250 is a chevy bellhousing. Sorry it is of no value to you.
