Transmission compatibility?

Last question! Do I need to do anything to ensure the torque converter engages properly with the adapter adding the thickness. Sorry for all the questions..just wanna do it right the first time.

I add in washers but don't force them in, some space is OK.

Some adapters also come with the correct thickness torque convertor spacers/washers.
