Transmission Cooler

I install trans coolers on any car I own if it doesn't have one already.

The instructions that come with the kits invariably recommend running the hot line to the cooler, returning via the coolant radiator. The guy at my local transmission shop agrees with their view.

whats the purpose of a trans cooler besides the obvious? any install instructions? and should i get one for my cutlass with a th350. which is a weekend driver, no racing?

on any car i would add an additional one, hot fluid will kill the transmission. its pretty easy to install you can google it and see, normally it goes inline of the transmission lines and the radiator.
like the hot line from the transmission to the radiator then to the external cooler then back to the transmission

oops i wrote it wrong, supposed to be
hot line from the transmission to the external cooler then to the radiator then back to the transmission
