If you drive your car in cold weather hook your cooler in series with the radiator out to the trans so your not over cooling the trans.

Do what you want, but if you saw my post with a pic of it removed from the radiator, you'll see I'm not convinced it does much for heating OR cooling. If your electric fans kick on at 165-190 degrees, is that too hot for your trans? Brainfvck away! It's not that big of a deal.

The fact is for what your doing you probably don't even need an auxiliary cooler seeing it's lived over 30 years w/o one. If you plan on towing or an HD situation it's always good to keep the ATF cool. They say ideally around 175 deg. Do you even know what your running at? Don't over think this.
