I have a 1980 Malibu that currently has a 3.8L V6 in it. I will be putting a 383 stroker with a TH 350 in it within the next 30 days. The question I have, will I need to buy a new crossmember and will I need to get a new drivershaft or change the yoke? For now I will also be using the column shifter, will I the linkage need to be changed?

What kind of transmission is in there now? I think you will be ok though...I had a '79 Monte wiith a blown v-6 in her...put in a sbc w/th-350 transmission and didn't have to change anything except the motor mount points........

Thanks for the help. I dont know what kind of transmission it is. It's the stock one that comes with the 3.8L V6. I will be putting in a rebuild TH350. Also does anyone have pictures of how to route the heater hoses?
