Transmission Spline

I believe i am saying it right. Please look at the picture below and tell me if this spline should look like this. I thought it should be centered and tight.

Transmissions I've seen are centered with the exception of a 200-4R core that I have that looks like yours with the spline hanging the way it is. I'm not saying it should or shouldn't be like that but I would think it should be centered and tight.

Thanks, I have never seen anything like that. I just got an email from the builder saying it supposed to be like that. I guess?

on the 2004r the yoke that slips over that output shaft rides on a bushing in the trans case. So when you slip the ds yoke on there it keeps both the yoke and output shaft centered.
