wait, i forgot about the adapter plate too, the guy i bought it from included it in the package along with a new converter and cable. but now i read your first post over, you only have the 3.8 and i dont think the plate works with a V6. anyway dude, good luck with your regal.

They do not make an adapter for the 700 that is why I got the 200 wich is a mulit fit belhousing which lets me use my motor until I figure out what my plan is. The 700 also has plugs that has to be wired, I was just trying to hear what others have done in their swap. Thanks anyway!

why mess with that 200, i got a 700R4 and the cross member jegs makes for 700's in a gbody...4 speed w/overdrive god i love my transmission. for both was like under $1500

do a search, there are many many MANY threads on the 700 vs the 2004r. ones about as good as the other. and the 200-4r IS a 4spd, with a better OD than the 700.

you will need a TV cable and bracket, and depending on the carb you may need a TV geometry corrector.
while you're doing this i highly recommend a trans cooler.
you may have to change the speedo gears if the trans came from a car with a different rear axle ratio than yours.
