all right tekkies i got a question. im swapping 200r for a turbo 350 and want to know about anything about it. so far I have noticed the wiring harness is on the wrong side. I also want to be sure the linkage will work. the transmission is already out but i want to go over everything before I put the new one in. this is my first post and we gotta get my Monte movin so i dont have to drive the wifes car anymore.

If you are swapping out a TH200R4 for a TH350 you're going backwards.

the th350 uses a different crossmember than the 200r4... the transmission mounts are in different locations... also the th350 crossmember bolts into a different spot on the frame than the 200r4 crossmember... but the frame mounts are there for the th350 crossmember...

Are you talking about a 200-4R or a 200c? In other words is it a 4 or 3 speed?

Reason I ask is a TH350c and 200-4R have the TCC connector on the same (drivers) side of the transmission (and a regular TH350 has no harness). I'm not sure if the 200c is on the passenger side or not.

If you are going from a 200c to a TH350, that is a step in the right direction. With more detail, we can give more specifics on what will need to be done.

If its a 200r4 a th400(4" tailshaft) uses the same xmember needs a bigger yoke on the drive shaft. the drive shaft may also have to be shortened 5/8" but must of the time the slip yoke will take that up.

The TH200-4R and the TH350 as well as the TH375, Powerglide, TH700-R4 and the Muncie M21 all use the 27 spline output shaft the TH400 has a 32 spline output shaft. The yolk is interchangable. The cross member needs to be moved ahead some 6-5/8" The mount is same for both but the 200-4R is all metric

well i dont know what was in it but a Th350 had already been put in and died after severe abuse. the swap had been done badly and I am doing it right. another question is if i use a 700r how much do i have to shorten the driveshaft. as i said i have multiple trannies but no 200's. I even have a 4l60e with the computer but i know my crossmember wont work.
