the wheels on the monte when i bought it is 15 x 8 1/2'' chrome aluminum wheel. all 4 wheels are the same size. i think the rim is too wide for the front as the tire barely rubs at full turn. front tires are 215/65/r15 and rim is as wide as the dam tire!? now the back is different. the back has 295/50/r15 and i think it may just rub when the suspension travels. i'll try to post pics below. the tire is just HUGE and i think the 8 1/2'' rim isn't wide enough cause under normal tire psi the center of the tire is chewed out to nothing while the shoulders are like new. is it possible that the rim is not wide enough for the 295 tire? i'm thinking of putting a taller tire in back for highway rpm's and such with the 700r4 i have for it and thinking of a 275/60/r15.

post a pic up, ill be able to tell you, i work with tires.

Over-inflated?

215 65 15 should not be too wide. GM used it as the stock tire size on some performance models of G bodies. You may have an incorrect offset on the wheels. I have only had rubbing up front with 225 60 16's or 245 50 16's. I modified the fenders though and no longer have any rubbing issues...
