Trunk light mounting location

I have a 79 malibu. Anyone know where the trunk light mounts? I bought trunk and under hood lights. I can see where the hood light mounts because the holes are already there on the hood but can't seem to find where to mount the trunk light. Both have mercury switches.

I'm wondering the same thing,want to add both to my Cutlass......where did you get them with the mercury switches,or do all of them have them?

I don't know if they all have them but I got them on eBay from seller KILLINTIME71. All I did was a search for 1979 malibu under hood light. There are many to choose from. I bought from this seller because he offered both the hood and trunk light for about the same price that most others wanted for just the hood light. Plus they were new. You can also find them outside of eBay.

thats where it mounts in a 84 Grand prix. might be the same for yours..

and if you want to make the trunk light actually light up the trunk I used one of these...I used led for all the interior lights and it sure helps to see the interior at night and there is virtually no drain on the battery
