I've had some good luck with TRW brand replacement rear springs in G-bodies. The gist of TRW suspension stuff that I've been told about and saw for myself is that it was re-engineered if there was some problem with the stock design.

The regular rear springs on a G-body are great examples of cost cutting engineering, IMO. The TRW part took the car back to a showroom stance, while the stock spring sagged. I had the same problem with Moog parts.

I have done a little looking around, and I guess TRW no longer manufactures the part. Since there are so many Moog springs, perhaps some of you have had better luck with another part number. Any suggestions?

That's strange you had problems with Moog springs. Moog makes their parts but TRW are parts made by different manufacturers just branded with that name. TRW parts don't even have their name in the parts alot of the times which says something about that "brand"

The best springs I ever had (twice) I got from JC Whitney. And I think they were MOOG's judging by the part#'s.

well, this was back in the early 90s, and the box clearly said TRW. The coil had one more loop in it, and appeared to be thinner gauge wire than moog.

I really liked the stance, and the fact that it didn't sag.
