Thanks! Much humbler scope, Mike, than the GT Faux! My more radical ideas will be dumped on the coupe....

I have a second set that was crustier than this one and I had them reconditioned my Wheels America. They cleaned up all but the worst of the pitting and recoated them. Safely hiding in boxes until this thing is closer to being on the road.

I also have a set of these:

Ironically, I found them at the same time I had the ZQ8s refinished. I have been slowly collecting a set of four decent hubcaps to go on them. When in decent shape, they cost more than the dang rims!

I've been looking for a full set of these caps since I have three and they are really faded aluminum. The snap in tabs are narrower, so they do not snap into the wheel but i used tape to build up the tabs and they snap in place. I like the bowtie just not sure which one looks best.

Tires are 235/60-16 - do those rub in the front?

What car was the Brembo brake donor?

They don't anywhere. The brakes I got from a friend that had put Brembo Decals on them. They are long gone since I went with the 2002 Camaro rear disks and S10 Blazer front disk system.

I got a gift for Father's Day, metaphysically speaking. For over five years, the rear latch wouldn't turn, so the window has been shut all this time. I assumed that the inside mechanism bound up or wedged a rod or something. On a whim, I grabbed the keys and tried it again. Nothing. Before I put them back in the ignition, I tried the door key in the driver's door. It wouldn't turn. None of them worked. I know these are the wagon keys. I tried the door key again, jiggling it because it a copy (of a copy, no doubt), and it turned. So.....tried the tailgate latch again, and....

And now I see the crusty weatherstripping. I did a search to find one of the old posts about a minivan strip working and tried a 1990 Caravan on RockAuto. It comes up as Fairchild D3003. $24 plus shipping, or $35 on Amazon. Hatch struts, Stongarm #4404, $19, the pair. Tailgate support cables, Goodmark $31 on Amazon.

For my next trick, I might try to replace the tailgate lock. S10 Blazer version in black is still available, Standard TL163, $10. Does anyone have a part number for the chrome version? I need to plot ans scheme about the glass-to-tailgate rubber weatherstrip. Surfing the Forum, only NOS fits - expensive unobtainium these days.

Lottery ticket time.

Found a set of Camaro Steelies. I reached into my stash and tried a little experiment...

Need to engineer some custom clip-rings and some pentagonal argent silver stickers...
