So just use the stock fan shroud ?The best fan shroud for this application would be a Chevy Gbody 2 piece shroud that also holds the radiator in place.
That universal one is not only not deep enough it will only pull air through the area within the radius versus the whole radiator, it would be more fitting on an old street rod with the vertical style radiator.
The stock shroud will work much better and hold the radiator in place at the same time.So just use the stock fan shroud ?
Understood 😎👍🏾The stock shroud will work much better and hold the radiator in place at the same time.
Was your clutch fan bad or are you thinking that you’ll gain horsepower? Or do you think the flex looks cooler?Just swapped from a clutch fan...
I have a G-Body fan shroud, but it's not enough protection if a blade fly's off, it's plastic...steel isn't bullet proof, but it's a better option than plastic...
You're right. His fan is the wrong direction for serpentine belt setup. He's got the right one for V-Belt accessories. You sure that fan is pitched the right direction?
You're right. He wants to lose a good portion of the little horsepower his 305 puts out by using a flex fan instead of a clutch fan.I believe OP was advised on this earlier but he'd done his research.
